Often they assume the role of &#8220;hero saving the project&#8221; and blame all gaps and problems on poor or missing handover and the previous Project Manager. Is this convenient? To some extent perhaps, but is it professional? Necessary? Absolutely not!      <\/p><p data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1067\">This is not one person&#8217;s problem.<br data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1037\"\/>This is a problem of lacking a proven system.<\/p><p data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1139\">It was precisely from this observation that <strong data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1138\">Project Continuity System\u2122 (PCS)<\/strong> was born.<\/p><hr data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1144\"><h2 data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"474\">Genesis: from checklist to system<\/h2><p data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"608\">When I took over one of my first projects many years ago, no one told me where to actually start.<\/p><p data-start=\"610\" data-end=\"656\">There was documentation.<br data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"631\"\/>There was a plan.<br data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"643\"\/>There were status reports.<\/p><p data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"745\">However, there were no answers to the questions that in practice determine project success:<\/p><ul data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"977\"><li data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"787\"><p data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"787\">which decisions are truly critical,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"830\"><p data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"830\">where the project is most fragile,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"831\" data-end=\"896\"><p data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"896\">what trade-offs have already been made \u2013 and with what consequences,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"977\"><p data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"977\">what is not visible in reports but is crucial for the client and team.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1216\">With each subsequent project takeover, I saw more clearly that formal artifacts do not reflect the true state of the project. They lack context, decision history, tensions, and risks that do not fit into tables and status reports. <\/p><p data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1550\">The first tool I created, primarily for my own needs, was a simple checklist \u2013 a list of questions that allowed me to quickly understand <em data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1398\">what is really happening in the project<\/em>. It helped me take over responsibility efficiently, without destabilizing the team and \u2013 most importantly \u2013 without harming the business and client relationships. <\/p><p data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1817\">Over time, I began to notice that the same questions and steps repeated regardless of industry, scale, or project type. The first patterns emerged: sequence of actions, critical takeover moments, elements whose omission almost always led to problems. <\/p><p data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1880\">This is how the proprietary <strong data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"1879\">Project Takeover &#038; Handover Process<\/strong> was created.<\/p><p data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"2009\">This process was developed and validated in practice for many years \u2013 not only in real projects, but also in training and workshop settings. I conducted training sessions and expert sessions based on this process at <strong data-start=\"2296\" data-end=\"2313\">IBM and Kyndryl<\/strong>, among others, and also shared it during <strong data-start=\"2349\" data-end=\"2388\">PMI congresses and IPMA conferences<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"2391\" data-end=\"2799\">It was there, in conversations with Project Managers, PMO leaders, and project managers, that the same questions kept recurring:<br data-start=\"2522\" data-end=\"2525\"\/><em data-start=\"2525\" data-end=\"2650\">How to successfully take over a project? How to quickly regain context? How to protect the organization in case of PM turnover?<\/em><br data-start=\"2650\" data-end=\"2653\"\/>Participants asked for concrete tools, checklists, and structure that would allow them to apply this approach consistently in their organizations.<\/p><p data-start=\"2801\" data-end=\"3252\">It became clear that the problem was not isolated, and the need was universal. At the same time, I saw increasingly clearly that the process alone was not enough. Project continuity does not depend solely on a list of steps, documents, or handover meetings. It was created because: <\/p><ul data-start=\"4167\" data-end=\"4470\"><li data-start=\"4167\" data-end=\"4229\"><p data-start=\"4169\" data-end=\"4229\">organizations lack a systematic approach to PM turnover,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4230\" data-end=\"4311\"><p data-start=\"4232\" data-end=\"4311\">PMs are left on their own at one of the most difficult moments of the project,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4312\" data-end=\"4389\"><p data-start=\"4314\" data-end=\"4389\">classic standards treat the topic of responsibility takeover marginally,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4390\" data-end=\"4470\"><p data-start=\"4392\" data-end=\"4470\">lack of continuity generates real costs for projects and companies: delays, escalations, loss of trust.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4390\" data-end=\"4470\"><p data-start=\"4392\" data-end=\"4470\">every Project Manager faces this problem at some point in their career, and I want to show not only how to do it professionally but also how to prepare for it in advance. <\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"4472\" data-end=\"4613\">Project Continuity System\u2122 addresses this problem directly \u2013 without complication, without heavy processes, without &#8220;paperwork for paperwork&#8217;s sake.&#8221; Simple but effective and proven steps and tools.  <\/p><hr data-start=\"4615\" data-end=\"4618\"><h2 data-start=\"4620\" data-end=\"4640\">What PCS is not<\/h2><p data-start=\"4642\" data-end=\"4655\">For clarity:<\/p><ul data-start=\"4657\" data-end=\"4788\"><li data-start=\"4657\" data-end=\"4685\"><p data-start=\"4659\" data-end=\"4685\">PCS does not replace methodologies.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4686\" data-end=\"4726\"><p data-start=\"4688\" data-end=\"4726\">PCS is not a checklist to tick off.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4727\" data-end=\"4788\"><p data-start=\"4729\" data-end=\"4788\">PCS is not a solution only for &#8220;projects in crisis.&#8221;<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"4790\" data-end=\"4865\">It is a project resilience system that works <strong data-start=\"4837\" data-end=\"4864\">before a crisis appears<\/strong>. It is a proactive, preventive action, a response to the risk of losing project and business continuity.  <\/p><p data-start=\"4790\" data-end=\"4865\">Project Continuity System\u2122 <strong data-start=\"3442\" data-end=\"3484\">does not compete with Agile, PMI, or PRINCE2<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"3485\" data-end=\"3488\"\/>It operates <strong data-start=\"3495\" data-end=\"3515\">above methodologies<\/strong>, regardless of industry, project scale, and delivery model.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"222\" data-end=\"269\">Who Project Continuity System\u2122 was created for<\/h3><p data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"1000\">Project Continuity System\u2122 was designed with two key audiences in mind.
